Are you an outdoor person that loves the outdoor activities in, on and around the water? Than you're at the right place here!

Do you hike, backpack or love to take long walks in the nature? Also than... Värmland is your place to be.

Go out and paddle the Klarälven river for a day or even a week.

In our shop we rent out kayaks and Canadian canoes. We even arrange transport to the starting places. Have a look at KlaralvenKajak.

Rafting on a timber raft?

Build one yourself or prefer one already build? Have a look at Vildmark or SverigeFlotten.

Have you ever seen the King of the Swedish forest in real life?  Looked at the work of beavers at close range or made a nature walk with an experienced guide. With "Die Erlebnis-profis" you will have an unforgettable time.

Do you want to know everything about the wolf, wolverine, lynx, bear or moose? Go and visit the The Big Four in Råda at 5 km from the apartment.

Like to play Golf? You can do it next the the Råda lake in an informal setting.

Want to hike but also like some directions. At the waterfalls close to Brattfället you can find trails from 0,5 up to 9 km. Around Ekshärad are also several trails with maps.

Getting out on a mountain bike is more than just bicycling. You can bike to places where every normal bike would quit. In our shop you can rent high quality bikes from Gary Fisher.

Fishing on Salmon or Trout? The Ekshärad area is perfect for it. Once cached and cooked your own Trout, you will never want it any other way.

To be able to fish you will need a licence. You can buy them at the Tourist office or at our shop. We also have cards for some very good "putt and take" lakes.

In Värmland you can also enjoy the beaches at the many lakes and of course the Klarälven river. At about 2 km there is a beautiful swimming lake and at 800 m there is a nice beach alongside the river.

On this beach you can make the most beautiful pictures of the sunset in the evening.

Like to see some old towns or do a little shopping? You can visit Karlstad, Arvika or drive up to Mora where you can see how they make the famous Swedish Dalahäst (small red horses).

Europe's biggest Bear park is located in Orsa. There you can see Bears, Wolves and the Lynx in their natural surroundings.

Horse back riding or even taking a quad out? In Ekshärad you can find it.

Other wishes? The people from the tourist office are glad to help you. Hagfors or Ekshärad .
